The case against the man who allegedly cut off women’s punanis and kept them in his freezer was postponed today.
Danish national Peter Frederiksen (63), and his co-accused Motlatsi Moqeti (31), appeared in the Bloemfontein Regional Court. Prosecutor Amanda Bester asked the court to postpone the case to 15 June for further investigation.Dressed in green pants and a dark red fleece top, Frederiksen sat in the dock with his legs crossed and his glasses around his neck. There was a heavy cop presence. He was arrested on 17 September last year after 21 clitorises were found in the freezer of his Langehoven Park home in Bloemfontein.
Court Postponed |
He faces charges of assault with the intent to do grievous bodily harm, manufacturing, distributing and possessing child pornography, conspiracy to murder, and bigamy (illegally being married to two people at the same time).
He is also being investigated for the murder of his wife, Anna Matseliso Molise (28), who was gunned down outside her home in Maseru, Lesotho, following his arrest. Frederiksen allegedly hired the wheelchair-bound Moqeti to have Molise killed. He allegedly had contacts in the criminal underworld.
Molise would have been a key State witness in the case against her husband. During cross-examination by Bester, Frederiksen told the court that he learnt of his wife’s death through the media. The State told the court that a witness and phone calls linked Moqeti to the killing. - Daily Sun
