Teachers in schools around Zimbabwe have gone on a strike protesting delays by Government to pay their June salaries on time.
In separate interviews teachers in the urban said they had received circulars from their unions including Progressive Teachers Union and ZIMTA.The Apex council ordering them to stay away from work between Tuesday and Thursday.

School heads at some of the schools remained on duty with a few teachers employed by school development committees.
The Zimbabwe government faced with liquidity crunch has delayed salaries for civil service by almost three weeks - only managing to give them a $100 advance.
It is however business as usual at church run schools including St Joseph Primary and St Mary’s Secondary School.
“We received circulars from our unions ordering us to stay away from work between Tuesday and Thursday and we have complied,” said a teacher who preferred anonymity.
