Harare – How much are you willing to pay for your entrainment?

Remuneration for artists is a closely guarded secret, very few if any dare reveals how much they actually earn.

But thanks to research, and whistleblowers, we can now exclusively reveal how much your favourate performer actually charges per gig – and the figures will really shock you.

Naturally, our first stop is South Africa populated with superrich entertainers on the African continent, followed by Nigeria – and finally the world stage – America to be exact.

In Botswana, Charma Gal, a certified crowd puller costs more than P25 000 per performance – that’s a year’s salary for a high-earning professional. Zimbabwean music superstar, Oliver Mtukudzi was rumoured to cost not less than $30 000 per act.

During an African National Congress (ANC) campaign for municipal elections, rapper AKA reportedly leaked his wages – a whopping $10 000 per outing. Cassper Nyovest demands $9 000 per session, though he mentions he does not know his charges because they keep rising – or really?

Justin Bieber Charges $1 million Per Session

Move magazine in 2014 claimed that irresistible kwaito ensemble, Mifikizolo invoice their single performance at $8 000, the same figure with Mi Casa and Zahara.

Legendary jazz maestro Hugh Masekela topped the earning list as a solo performer with $21 000 per entertainment session. Joyous Celebration can attract above $35 000 to perform.

A free of $1 000 is the minimum charge for big bands booked via entertainment-online.co.za. Comedians charge between $1 000 and $3 000.

P Square commanded the pack for Nigerian top earners with $62 000 in a single session. D’banj charges $60 000, 2Face $30 000 – and Davido $20 000.

On the global stage, facts and figures gleaned from online sources, reveal that Taylor Swift is priced at $1 million per outing. Bruce Springsteen and Justin Bieber are in the same bracket.
